UNIVERSITY OF KING’S COLLEGE
This was a collaborative project between myself and another student at the University of King’s College to create a semi-permanent display for prominent African Nova Scotian community leaders.
For my contribution, I created bio-cards for 10 of these community members. These cards were coupled with a map, created by my project partner, that detailed the timeline of African Nova Scotian presence in the province.
As someone who grew up in several African Nova Scotian communities, it made me proud to be tasked with honoring the legacies of those who have worked hard and used their skills to better their communities. Below are the individual cards that were displayed.
