Union of Black
Artists Society
The Union of Black Artists Society (UBAS) is a creative trade union committed to empowering Black artists across Canada through community-building, professional development, mentorship, and advocacy.
They needed a cohesive digital presence and engaging promotional materials to highlight their mission and upcoming initiatives.
I collaborated with their team to design a clean, impactful landing page, create a motion-graphic promotional video, and I am currently producing additional graphic design assets & branding identity to replace/update their current designs.

Landing Page Design
Live Landing Page: https://unionofblackartists.com/
Objective: Create a welcoming and accessible landing page that clearly communicates UBAS’s mission, values, and key programs, serving as a strong promotional tool while the organization secures funding for its future membership site.
Approach:
Designed a clean layout with concise sections corresponding to their values: Who We Are, What We Do, and program highlights.
Made sure calls-to-action like "Learn More" and "View Our Work" were prominent and intuitive.
Integrated dynamic visual elements, like hero graphics and program visuals, to reflect UBAS’s energetic and forward-thinking identity.
Promotional video for UBAS to spread the word about their flagship program “Black Above the Line”, a creative industry training program.
Promotional Video
Objective: Create an engaging video to spotlight UBAS’s mission and the Black Above the Line program.
Approach:
Based on the written brief, I developed storyboards and motion design that balanced bold typography with subtle animation to evoke energy and pride.
Sourced the videos used in the promo, animated key messages, program titles, and named highlights from UBAS’s work for social media and event-sharing.
