THE BRAIDING LOUNGE SALON

The Braiding Lounge Salon is a hair salon that specializes in braiding services and other natural hair care treatments.

I have created multiple visual assets including illustrations, social media and marketing graphics. Additionally, the salon requested a mobile responsive website to effectively show their services and gain a larger customer base.

Website Design

For the salon's website, I handled the design and development using Figma and the Square native website builder. I started by sketching out wireframes to plan the layout and flow, keeping the client's business goals in mind. The main focus was on making the site responsive, so it looked great on any device. I chose colors and fonts that matched the salon's vibe to keep the branding consistent. I collaborated closely with the client during each stage of the design process, incorporating their feedback to refine the layout and functionality. The end result was a polished, user-friendly website that effectively showcased the salon's services and brand identity.

Illustrations

I created 9 custom illustrations that embody the brand’s inclusive messaging, including window & wall decals, and a mural behind the sales counter. The window decals are recolored versions from my Our Hair ABCs series.
